Edmonton, AB (April 1, 2022) – Q2 calls for a refresh! We’ve got a new name.
No, this isn’t an April Fools joke and no, we’re not talking about a new name for GeoVerra (we like our name too much). However, now that we’ve been operating as ONE team for almost two years, we thought it would be a good time to let go of a legacy name for one of our teams – TIIP. For those of you who don’t know what TIIP stands for, you’re not the only one (one of the reasons why the team was ready for a change). TIIP: Transportation, Infrastructure, Industrial, & Power. Cool – makes sense, but it’s quite the long name and the acronym doesn’t resonate with external stakeholders.
So without further ado, we’re pleased to say goodbye to TIIP and hello to the Infrastructure team! Infrastructure is a large over-arching bucket that encompasses many things: transportation (roads, rail), industrial and construction projects, land development, utilities (power, telecommunications, wind) and resources like mining. So it’s the perfect catchall name for this team of surveying experts.
For more information on the services this team offers (or just to say “hi”), feel free to send a note to Director of Infrastructure, Wade Weaver or one of the team’s managers, Colin Keir or Dene Gott.
